Charging problem is a very common problem for laptops. Sometimes battery gets charged but it says “Plugged in, Not charging” sometimes it doesn’t say anything and it doesn’t charge the battery. But sometimes it provides the charge of the laptop but by unplugging adaptor, laptop switches OFF instantly. So what does it mean? It means that the laptop does not charge the battery and does not provide battery's power. We have this situation in this video. Let’s have a closer look on the problem and learn to solve it.
There is an Asus V502UX laptop with charging problem which means the battery status is 100% full when adaptor is plugged but by unplugging adaptor, the battery gets drained completely and laptop turns OFF instantly!
Diagnosing this problem whether it originates from motherboard or battery is so important, because batteries of new Ultrabooks are so slim and they are relatively so expensive.
In this video we analyzed DATA & CLOCK signals and also main voltages of charging direction with multimeter, boardview and oscilloscope and showed you how to troubleshoot and solve the problem and finally repair the laptop.
Hope you enjoy
